Dr Nathan Cohen BSc MRCGP DRCOG


Dr Joe Cohen qualified in 1975 and gained his MRCP in 1978. After reaching senior registrar status he turned to general practice and qualified as a GP in 1982. He has a considerable amount of experience in medical education and as an exam coach.


Dr Joe Cohen conducted his own MRCP course for junior hospital doctors for twenty years and was an examiner at many hospital courses for the MRCP clinical examination. He must have coached over 15,000 doctors for their MRCP Written and Clinical Exams. 


Dr Joe Cohen has been GP Education Lead at his Practice since 2001 and has taught over 35 the registrars for the CSA. He has had excellent feedback both as a trainer and a teacher for the exam.

He has prepared registrars for the previous RCA format before the CSA begun.

Dr Nathan Cohen has been involved in medical education both as an undergraduate and a postgraduate.  He was part of the qualified tutor programme at St George’s University and has mentored international students in GP practice. 


Dr Joe Cohen has been treasurer for the Redbridge and Waltham Forest Trainers since 2008 and is Chair for the monthly Redbridge Protected Learning Event for 150 Redbridge GP. He gives regular teaching presentations.  

First Hand Experience

Dr Nathan Cohen passed the CSA in 2017 and is very familiar with the CSA exam. He now works as a GP in two busy London practices.
